Exclude notifications from microsoft.com from routing through Black Pearl Mail for M365

M365 will send internal notifications using the @microsoft.com domain. These notifications cannot be routed through Black Pearl Mail and will need to be excluded. The steps in the document will show you how to exclude notifications from microsoft.com from routing through Black Pearl Mail.
The following steps will need to be done within your organization's M365 Global Administrator dashboard. 

STEP 1 – Log in to M365 Exchange Admin Console

1. Open the Microsoft 365 Exchange admin console - https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com
2. Sign in with your M365 global admin credentials.

STEP 2 - Edit Existing Black Pearl Mail Rule

1. Select Mail flow > Rules from the left-hand side menu.


2. Click on the Black Pearl Mail rule.


3. Click Edit rule conditions.


4. Scroll down to Except if and locate the existing The Sender... domain is exception.


5. To the right of The sender domain is onmicrosoft.com, there is a little pencil icon. Click on the pencil icon to edit the existing exception.


6. We are going to be adding an additional domain to this list. In the box, enter microsoft.com and click Add.


7. Make sure the microsoft.com domain appears in the list and click Save.


8. You should now see 2 x domains in the exclusion. Click Save.
