Insights is an end user service that provides the sender email intelligence informing you of when and how your email recipients are interacting with your email. This includes: Real-Time Notifications, End-User Analytics, and Customized Daily Digest.
- REAL-TIME NOTIFICATION: Start each day with a summary of your previous day’s activity and interactions. Know who to follow up with and how to take action.
- END-USER ANALYTICS: End-users have personalized versions of two of Black Pearl’s most popular admin level reports - Track & Trace and Export Clicks.
- CUSTOMIZED DAILY DIGEST: Start each day with a summary of your previous day’s activity and interactions. Know who to follow up with and how to take action.
What should I expect?
After your Black Pearl Mail Administrator enables Insights for you, you will receive an email with an invitation. After accepting this invitation you will be able to see all the insights data available to you.
I receive too many Open Notification emails
If you are receiving too many email notifications you can easily adjust your setting to limit the amount you receive. Log into your Insights app and go to the Notifications section and change the Open Notifications to either Top Recipients (where you select which email addresses for which you want to receive Open Notifications) or turn off the Open Notifications by selecting None. You can perform this step for the other Notifications if you like, but typically it's the Open Notifications that send the most emails.
My date/time is wrong in my digest emails
Your time zone is incorrect. Log into your Insights app and go to the lower left side and click on the Profile icon.
Then you will be able to change your time zone.
My Open Notifications don't appear accurate.
Instead of adding dodgy code to an email which may affect delivery or breaching GDPR and other data security protocol we determine Opens by deductive logic. When an email is opened our images are pulled down from the servers, so we use the image download as the indicator an email is being opened.
This can result in a 'false negative'. If a recipient has image blocking then the images will not be downloaded and it will appear that the email has not been opened. Therefore Opens is not a 100% accurate report - but statistically it is 87% accurate. Said another way we give people 87% more visibility over delivery and readership that they had prior.
